For at least five or ten miles north of Gregory Street in Black Hawk, highway 119 is bumpy enough that more cautious RV drivers will want to drive well below the posted speed limit. Further north, this problem largely subsides.

I think they did a bunch of work right here on this road last summer, but it’s still pretty bumpy. Not so bad that I’d avoid the road or anything, but enough that I drove about 5 to 10 mph below the limit for at least 8 or 10 miles north of downtown Black Hawk. It was slow enough that the locals behind me were getting salty. lol. But it eventually smoothed out. Very pretty area, I will say that!
