Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground
About this park
Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground serves a specific niche: Airstream owners looking for a low-key base in Crossville with straightforward access to the Cumberland Plateau and major Tennessee day trips. This member‑owned, Airstream‑exclusive park offers five reservable visitor sites near the entrance (sites 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18). Each has water, sewer, and 30‑amp electric, plus a concrete pad and picnic table. On‑site, visitors can explore a network of trails, and the clubhouse provides laundry, restrooms, and showers.
Location is the draw here: Cumberland Mountain State Park (about 14 miles away) spans 1,720 acres with hiking, swimming, kayaking, and a 6,900‑yard Jack Nicklaus–designed golf course. Highland Manor Winery is a short drive, and boating/fishing on Watts Bar Lake and Center Hill Lake are roughly an hour out. For wider itineraries, Chattanooga, Nashville, and Knoxville are feasible day trips, and the Great Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg are under two hours. Important arrival note: ignore GPS shortcuts and use the park’s posted directions to avoid narrow gravel roads.
